Character Design Challenge July - Tarot (Sun)

Hey everyone!

Another month, another Character Design Challenge :) this month, the topic is Tarot, featuring any of the major or minor arcana cards. This was massively exciting, as I'd been toying with the idea of making a set of Tarot since a visit to my friend's this past winter, and it seemed like a perfect springboard to actually kick start this. Well, and as I've read, this is going to turn out to be a LOT more complicated and demanding than I thought. A long term project it is.

Anyhow, I started this challenge wanting to do the Hermit, but came up with no good ideas, then the Moon, but I didn't want to do a card that was undoubtedly going to be very popular, and then finally settled on the Sun because of its meaning. The Sun is ultimately a happy, adventurous card, and I needed to do something happy. It took me a while to get her going (as you can see, I changed her dress), but I'm really happy with how she's ended up. Now to do the other 77 cards!
