Anu and the Wolves

This collection was a portfolio project that I initially didn't think would become what it has. The first image was the last of a six week long, one image per week, project, and was a big departure from what I'd been doing up to that point. The idea came about after I read a very fantastic pre-teen book, and as something to pay homage to my grandmother who'd passed away last year. It has, however, evolved beyond what I thought it would, and has arguably become my muse currently. I have many more sketches I want to transfer into Photoshop and clean up, and I'm very excited to continue working with Anu and her wolves, Paavo and Eha.

- This world Anu inhabits is inspired by the Chernobyl site; it is a post nuclear war earth, a few decades past this fact, and nature is beginning to grow back in on civilization.
- The region I took primary inspiration from was Estonia and the Baltic region in general.
